Eugen is Founding Partner at Planwerk Cluj, which has led in the past 15+ years the transformation undertaken by the city of Cluj-Napoca to a haven for pedestrian and street life. He returned from Hamburg in 2002 with German friends to start the practice, which has marked the rebirth of the planning approach in Romania.
‘Creative Leaders’ returns with another memorable evening, where we will discuss - 'Future of Cities' - What are the latest transformations our cities are undertaking? How is Cluj-Napoca developing and growing? What is the role of design and architecture? Eugen has been shaping the vision of our city's urban planning, and we will have the chance to see a glimpse of that vision and evolution over years. From his current position as Executive Board member of the Architects Council of Europe, we will debate 'Professional Associations' - both at national and European level. What do professional associations strive and achieve? What does that mean for architecture and design?
